Tryfon Koutsourelis is a Greek composer, pianist, and music producer working at the intersection of contemporary classical music, experimental composition, and cross-disciplinary performance. Based in London, with strong artistic ties to Athens and Paris, his work explores the relationship between sound, space, and the human body.
His musical language is minimalist and poetic, treating sound as an immersive environment rather than a purely narrative element. Moving between film, choreography, installation, and site-specific performance, he develops works that engage with memory, architecture, and movement.
Trained in classical and modern piano, composition, and music theory, his artistic development was shaped through mentorship with George Hadjinikos. Alongside his work in contemporary art, he has composed for award-winning films and documentaries, cultivating a cinematic approach where sound functions as both structure and emotion.
His projects include Drops of Breath, Europe’s first underwater ballet at Sounio, The Theta Series at Onassis Stegi, and the site-specific cycle Anamnesis, presented in archaeological locations such as Delos and Delphi. Recent works include the score for C’est Beau (Paris 2024 Cultural Olympiad, with DK-BEL) and Prometeo o del sogno infranto di Europa(Museo Castromediano, Lecce).
His music has been broadcast internationally, including on France Culture TV and Classic FM.
